At some point, every season, your player will be obligated to participate in a fundraising activity. This can consist of selling bingo or raffle tickets of a certain amount, among other things. These fundraisers help offset registration and operational costs that without, would be passed onto the players. Without these events the League would not be able to operate. We appreciate your support in participating as required in these activities. Thank you
During each game, the home team must have 1 volunteer to serve as Official Scorekeeper. Managers are responsible for identifying at least 1 volunteer to serve as the Official Scorekeeper for their team for home games during the season and have them attend the season at the beginning of the season. The Official Scorekeeper is responsible to pick up the correct divisional scorebook from the Snack Bar before game time and input the line up at least 10 minutes before game time. Official Scorekeepers are expected to remain impartial during the game. If a home team fails to have an Official Scorekeeper, the game will be considered a forfeit.
During each game, the home team (manager, coach and/or families) are responsible for prepping the field before the start of the game. This includes moving bases (if needed), moving pitching mound (if needed), and re-chalking home plate, baselines, pitching circle, and on-deck circles. The Board will maintain the fields (drag) and prep fields (set bases and chalking) for the first game of the day.
Each player is provided with a jersey and socks. Families are responsible for ensuring each player has sliders (8U+), black softball pants, and a belt (if needed).
Each player will need to have their own glove and cleats. The Board also recommends that each player have their own bat and helmet, as we have limited equipment to loan out. The league does have donated items such as cleats etc please inquire via email or ask your manager.
Bat Requirements: NO T-Ball bats are allowed.
Metal Cleats are NOT allowed by the City of Vacaville.
Please see Code of Conducts.
Please see registration for fees and dates when you register. Please note your player must participate in evaluations/tryouts in the division they are attempting to "Play-up" in as well as their appropriate age division. If your player does not attend evaluations/tryouts in either a Playing-up division or their age appropriate division they will be placed on a team as a blind draft and only in their age appropriate division. They will not be allowed to play-up. Exception: If your player played-up the very previous season they will be placed in that upper division again as a blind draft even if they do not attend evaluations/tryouts.
Please see the refund policy deadline date in the program you are registering for. Refunds typically will not be given after draft each season. To request a refund please send a written request to Vacavillegirlsfastpitch@gmail.com before the program deadline date stated in the program you are registering for.

Manager/ Coach CODE OF ETHICS
Commitment to the Players Coaches/Volunteers shall put the welfare of their athletes above all else while maintaining professional relationships with them. Coaches/Volunteers shall encourage the athlete to exhibit sportsmanship at all times. Coaches/Volunteers shall follow league rules. Coaches/Volunteers will treat players with dignity and respect at all times. Coaches/Volunteers need to understand that they are role models for their young players. They must project a proper role model image. Coaches/Volunteers commitment to the player and the player’s commitment to the coach is an equal partnership. Managers are responsible for their staff behavior and it is expected they attempt to control their staff and parents alike. Commitment to the Institution Coaches/Volunteers shall behave in such a way that they shall bring credit to their organization and to themselves. Coaches/Volunteers need to have and show professional behavior. Commitment to Other Coaches/Volunteers All umpires, coaches and volunteers shall be treated in a professional and respectable manner both on and off the field. Any displeasure with a coach or umpire’s action or conduct shall be addressed through the proper channels and not through league families, media or public opinion. The first step is going to the Manager of your team, then your manager bringing the situation to a board member. All issues should be brought to the board at the onset and not left to grow into a bigger situation. Inappropriate behavior or violation of rules can result in expulsion or other disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the League Executive Board. VVGF has a ZERO tolerance policy regarding any violence or threats of violence. Removal from participation in the league will take place immediately. As a member of Vacaville Girls Fastpitch, I accept the Coaches Code of Ethics and agree to abide by the principles of the Code.
